Formula 1 free practice in HungaryFortunately, there was more action in the second free practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix than in FP1. It was Charles Leclerc who set the fastest time, while Max Verstappen did not pass P11.
After the chaotic FP1, there was a lot of driving in the second session on Friday. Max Verstappen stayed inside for a long time at the start, but eventually got out on the sediment. With a time of 1:18.279, he failed to match Charles Leclerc’s time. The Ferrari driver was fastest with a time of 1:17.686. Lando Norris set the second fastest time, with a time of 1:17.701, followed by Pierre Gasly in third place.
Daniel Ricciardo, Nic de Vries’ replacement, was 14th. He was around 0.4 seconds slower than teammate Yuki Tsunoda, who took P4.
